The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the new updated schedule for the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. IPL 2025 new schedule includes, a total of 17 matches are set to be played across six venues, beginning on May 17 and culminating in the grand finale on June 3.

Three days after suspending the Indian Premier League due to the armed conflict between India and Pakistan, the BCCI unveiled a revised schedule for the remaining games of the ongoing season that would take place in the window between 17 May and 3 June.
Bengaluru, Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Lucknow will be hosting the remaining league matches, with the BCCI yet to take a call on whether the playoffs will take place in Hyderabad and Kolkata as planned or not.

Cricket Australia on availability of Aussie players for IPL
Post the BCCI announcement on IPL 2025 New Schedule, in a statement the Cricket Australia said, “Following the announcement that the IPL will resume on Saturday, Cricket Australia will support players in their individual decisions whether to return to India or not,”
Clearing its stance, Cricket Australia said it would back the players’ personal choice over a return to India for the IPL. But, some arrangements would also need to be made for players who are participating in the IPL and are also expected to join Australia’s squad for the WTC final on June 11.
“Team management will work through preparation implications for the World Test Championship final for those players who choose to play in the remaining IPL matches. We are maintaining communication with the Australian government and BCCI around security arrangements and safety.” the statement further added.
